CINDER CITY Exclusive G-STAR 2025 Demo | OPEN WORLD SHOOTER RPG with Epic Mecha and Zombie Battles
Check out this new work in progress gameplay preview from the upcoming Cinder City. We captured this new demo footage with RTX 5090 at a Nvidia event (no commentary). This new open world futuristic tactical action looter shooter with mechas and mutated creatures features a seamless massive open world with main story missions, incursions, PvP and PvE. The game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and features high-fidelity graphics with support for technologies like DLSS and ray tracing. It will remind you of Destiny 2, The Division 2, Once Human and Mudang Two Hearts! *_Description:_* Cinder City, formerly known as Project LLL, is a new MMO open world tactical shooter. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi alternate history version of 23rd-century Seoul, South Korea. The environment features a seamless open world, meticulously crafted and inspired by real-world Korean locations. A core part of the experience revolves around a personal story—your character's search for a missing daughter—blended into the large-scale online action. *_First Impressions:_* Stepping into the post-apocalyptic, alternate-history Seoul of Cinder City was immediately striking for us. This game is a showcase for Unreal Engine 5's virtues. We were genuinely impressed by the sheer detail and atmospheric density of the world. The ravaged, high-tech landmarks of the 23rd century feel authentic and lived-in, making the environment itself a powerful character in the narrative. The commitment to a seamless open world, rather than heavily instanced zones, truly shines, encouraging exploration and making the personal story about finding the missing daughter feel more urgent against the backdrop of a massive, player-filled conflict. The gunplay felt solid, responsive, and appropriately weighty, but the core challenge for Cinder City lies in successfully blending its personal RPG experience with the massive MMO tactical shooter elements—a grand experiment that still needs to prove its long-term sustainment. The depth of the gear and loot system is where our curiosity truly lies. The demo offered a glimpse into a comprehensive system featuring distinct tier levels (Common, Rare, Legendary) for weapons, armor, and those all-important mech parts. Customization felt meaningful; it wasn't just about raw stats, but about finding specific gear sets that synergize with different "futuristic knight" builds—whether you want to focus on high-mobility close combat or heavy siege warfare using specialized weapons. While the early loot drops felt exciting, the true test will be the endgame grind. We left the demo wanting to know how diverse and rewarding the highest-tier Legendary and Exotic drops are, and whether the resource management for upgrading and maintaining our battlesuits will encourage engaging exploration or become a cumbersome chore in the sprawling multiplayer chaos. Cinder City is an ambitious evolution of The Division 2 with the MMO scale and Sci-Fi themes of Destiny 2, and a touch of the enemy difficulty found in most action RPGs nowadays. We can't wait to play the final version in 2026! *_Release Date:_* Cinder City is coming out during the second half of 2026 to PC and consoles #gstar2025 #newgames2026 #rtx5090 *_Disclaimer: Footage recorded by ENFANT TERRIBLE.
