Borderlands 4 All Things Vend Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide - Deliver the contents of the Legendary Vending Machine. [Bronze] *MISSABLE* This can only be earned during Side Mission: Vend of the Line, during Objective “Defeat whatever that is”. Step 1: At the end of the side mission, you will enter a cave where you fight a legendary vending machine boss called “Vend Zane”, defeat it. Normally the quest wants you to buy something legendary from this boss after defeating it, but DON’T DO THAT YET! Step 2: After defeating the “Vend Zane” boss, check the floor where the boss was initially standing when entering the cave. There on a wooden board you see 3 green crossed-out “$” icons and 1 orange non-crossed “$” icon. This code indicates you have to sell 3 green items and buy 1 legendary item at the vending machine. Step 3: After defeating “Vend Zane”, the Zane NPC will give you a call. After he’s done talking, you can interact with the Vend Zane boss, it turns into a legendary vending machine. You have to SELL Green, SELL Green, SELL Green, BUY Legendary. These can be any items that match the green/legendary rarity. Doesn’t matter if it’s a weapon or other item type. The important thing is that you SELL the first 3 and then BUY the legendary (don’t sell a Legendary). Step 4: After you did this, the legendary vending machine explodes and drops the item “Picture of Zane and Levaine”. Pick it up, this will be highlighted in blue and drops right in front of the vending machine on the floor. Step 5: Now you get a new objective “Find Zane”. He will be marked on the map (should be at Moxxi’s Bottoms Up in Carcadia Burn - Ruined Sumplands). Go to the quest marker, talk with Zane, and give him the picture you just found. After some talking the side mission will finish and the trophy will unlock as soon as the mission is complete. This is a secret alternative ending to this mission. If you were to just buy a legendary without selling 3 green items first, or sell items in the wrong order, then the machine doesn’t drop the picture and you’d miss out on the trophy. This is one of the few missions that can’t be replayed via the missions menu. If you missed this, proceed to finish the story. After the story you can go to Title Screen - New Game - Ultimate Vault Hunter – this starts a Level 30 character on the post-story save with all side content immediately accessible. Then you can replay the quest from there right away. You could also join a friend in co-op who hasn’t done the mission yet.
