We captured this early gameplay footage in RTX 5090 and 4K monitor (no commentary). The sequel to the 2023 hit, officially titled Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf, doubles the scope of the original. The game is best described as a cinematic blend of the environmental puzzle-solving found in Inside and the hand-painted beauty of Ori and the Blind Forest. While the gameplay logic follows the "small hero in a big world" vibe of Limbo, its heart lies in the companion dynamic between Lana and Mui, which feels like a more agile version of The Last Guardian. With the addition of stunning underwater exploration, the sequel also captures the serene, awe-inspiring atmosphere of Abzû, trading traditional "indie horror" for a grand Studio Ghibli-inspired sci-fi adventure. *_Description:_* The game takes place two years after the events of the first adventure. Lana has settled back into her village on the planet Novo, but the peace is shattered by a new faction called the Dijinghala. This ruthless society is using advanced technology to strip the planet's natural resources. When Lana’s niece is caught in the crossfire, Lana and her loyal companion Mui must embark on a journey that takes them from deep oceans to frozen mountain peaks to uncover long-buried truths about their world and Mui's origins. *_Gameplay Features:_* - Enhanced Agility: Lana is older and more athletic. She can now wall-jump, slide under obstacles, and dive deep into the ocean to solve puzzles. - Companion's Upgraded Powers: Mui can now override machines and hypnotize certain wild creatures, adding new layers to the cooperative puzzles. - New Environments: Unlike the first game's focus on forests and deserts, the sequel introduces underwater chapters, urban industrial areas, and snowy tundras. - The Rollers: A new type of fluffy creature that players can control to reshape the environment or clear paths. - Cinematic Puzzles: The scale is much larger.
