Check out this new gameplay reveal from the upcoming The God Slayer developed in Unreal Engine 5 by a team of more than 100 developers. This work in progress demo footage has been edited by us and provided by Pathea Games. The single player open world steampunk RPG will be released as a premium title on major consoles and PC. No mobile version or gacha monetization is planned. The Chinese studio Pathea Games is the company that's also behind the My Time series. This new game is an action RPG with the elemental combat of Avatar or Dragon Ball and the open world parkour of Assassin's Creed, all presented with the high spectacle of games like Black Myth: Wukong. In an exclusive conversation with the developers, they revealed that the gameplay and the core concept were inspired by the Batman and Infamous series. *_Description:_* The Celestials, angered by humans using qi, launched a brutal attack known as the God Fall, which resulted in the death of Cheng's family and many other Elemancers. Your ultimate goal is to avenge your loved ones, save your people, and dethrone the Celestials to literally become The God Slayer. *_Gameplay Features:_* - Setting: A world ruled by powerful gods known as Celestials. The setting has a unique steampunk aesthetic blended with Eastern culture. - Protagonist: You play as the Elemancer Cheng, a human who has discovered how to harness qi (life energy) and transform it into elemental powers (fire, water, earth, metal, wood). - Gameplay: The game features highly immersive combat focused on martial arts infused with elemental powers. You can strategically use elemental interactions in battle (e.g., water extinguishes fire, steam rises from boiling water) and focus on one element or master all five.
