Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is an upcoming narrative-driven tactical cRPG developed by the creators of Rogue Trader and The Expanse Osiris Reborn. The game shifts away from the grand space exploration of Rogue Trader to focus on a much darker, street-level perspective of the Imperium. It is described as a grimdark detective story. Unlike other 40K games where you play as a powerful hero, here you are a disposable agent dealing with paranoia and shadows. The game might remind you of the upcoming Norse and Solasta 2, turn-based RPGs that offer dark atmosphere, tactical depth, deep rulesets and extreme character customization. *_Description:_* You play as an Acolyte of the Holy Inquisition in the Calixis Sector. Your mission is to serve an Inquisitor by rooting out heresy, alien (Xenos) corruption, and Chaos cults from within. *_Gameplay Features:_* - Investigation System: A core mechanic where you collect evidence, interrogate suspects, and use a "mind map" to connect clues. You must decide who is guilty and in the Inquisition, "Innocence proves nothing." - Tactical Turn-Based Combat: An evolution of the Rogue Trader system. It features improved cover mechanics, verticality in maps, and a new Morale System where you can break an enemy's resolve and force them to surrender. - Choices and Consequences: Your decisions heavily impact the world.
