Starfield Is EXPLODING... In The Best Way Possible
#starfield #xbox #playstation Starfield just got full confirmation that it is a mind-blowing success for Bethesda Game Studios after launching on PlayStation 5 April 7th. And honestly, this shouldn’t be surprising if you’ve been paying attention outside of the usual internet echo chambers. Starfield has always been the punching bag of a lot of different content creators, and people bandwagoning about how terrible it is and how no one cares about it. But that narrative has always felt way louder online than it actually is in reality. The second the game opened up to a whole new audience on PlayStation, numbers started climbing, engagement shot up, and suddenly that “dead game” label looks kinda ridiculous. On the contrary, Starfield has seen massive success after going multi-platform recently, which just goes to show how the internet is such a small bubble. People forget that millions of players aren’t sitting on Twitter, Reddit, or YouTube arguing about game design—they’re just playing games. And when those players finally got access to Starfield, they showed up in a big way. Starfield is an incredible game and is only getting more content, more DLC, and now more players. With ZeniMax Media already calling it a long-term franchise and with the continued support we’ve been seeing, it’s pretty clear this isn’t a one-and-done situation. This is something they’ve been building on for years. So now the question becomes: do you keep future Bethesda titles locked to Xbox and PC, or do you eventually open the floodgates like this again? Because if Starfield is the test case, it kind of proves that the “console war” mindset might be holding games back more than helping them. At the end of the day, this whole situation just reinforces one thing—form your own opinion. The internet will run with whatever narrative gets the most clicks, whether it’s true or not. And Starfield is a perfect example of how different the reality can be once people actually get their hands on a game.
