Valor Mortis - Entity, Voice of the Void Boss Fight
Valor Mortis The Entity, Voice of the Void Boss Fight in Chapter 11: Reflection (10th Boss). Valor Mortis All Boss Fights Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUmZCI-4odKY The Entity is the final main boss of the game, fought by interacting with the stone door by the Lantern Caverns - Ancient Lair once you reach Chapter 11: Reflection. This boss is back to being two phases with two health bars, but with the combat being heavily based around the boss doing long sword combos like Nepthis Superioris. If you can parry well then this will make the boss much easier because of how you can just wait for him to attack you and parry him until they stagger. In the first phase he primarily alternates between doing sword combos, then teleporting away and shooting two tentacles at you like the Slaughtermill. When he teleports away to do this he will go quite a distance and float up in the air, so you can just stand back and wait for the tentacles to move toward you and dodge out of the way. He will very rarely teleport away in this manner and shoot at you instead, so watch for if he holds out both arms or looks like he is holding a gun out in front, in which case he'll shoot at you 4 times in a row. Sometimes if he doesn't warp as far away he'll summon two clones on either side of him which will either try to melee you, or shoot Fire at you. These die in one hit, so you can either just shoot Fire at them or shoot them with the pistol. As stated for damage the best method is parrying his attacks to stagger him, then getting a ton of damage from the stun attack. In between you can keep lighting him on Fire for consistent damage over time, because you can typically dodge backward while holding Fire to ignite him, then parry during an attack string while the Fire inflicts damage. Once you run out his first health bar the boss will float up in the air and start talking to you for a bit. During this he will summon clones one at a time to attack you, and the best method to deal with him is to swap to the pistol and keep shooting him as they appear. He will drop Pistol ammo around half of the time, which you can run over and pick up if needed. Once the boss stops talking they will drop down and the actual second phase will begin. During the second phase he will largely attack in the same way. One of the main things to watch for is the changes to his sword combos. One of the big ones is that the times he swaps to the Claymore will now almost always be unblockable attacks, instead of being parryable like the first phase. He will also sometime have a very delayed attack where he will jump to your right, which you can parry if you get the timing down or just dodge backwards. When he teleports away to shoot the tentacles there will now always be 4 instead of 2, but he can be dodged in the same way. When he summon clones, they will now be of some of the prior bosses and they jump toward you to attack you, but you can just dodge to the side and swing at them to immediately destroy them as they still disappear with one attack.
