This new game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 by the studio NeoBards, Resident Evil co-developers and mostly known for collaborating with Capcom. This new footage has been provided by Konami at Gamescom 2025 and edited by us. This game is a single player third person horror game with brutal Japanese folklore and monsters! Hinako's hometown is engulfed in fog, driving her to fight grotesque monsters and solve eerie puzzles. Uncover the disturbing beauty hidden in terror. First Impressions: Silent Hill f seems to be taking a new approach to the series, focusing more on action elements than previous titles. We noted a much more prominent combat system with separate difficulty settings for combat and puzzles. The game features light and heavy attacks, dodging, and parrying, a departure from the more limited combat of classic Silent Hill games. This shift might raise some concerns among long-time fans who prefer the slower, more atmospheric horror. Despite the focus on action, the game retains the series' signature psychological horror and atmospheric dread. The game's setting, a rural Japanese town in the 1960s, is dense with narrow alleyways and a pervasive mist, creating a claustrophobic and tense environment. The game leans heavily into Japanese folklore, and according to developers, it will explore themes of gender discrimination and other issues of the time.
